I was worried I wouldn't know when they started and honestly at first I wasn't sure if that's what I was feeling. But once I timed the cramps and I saw a pattern I realize that's what it was. And when they got stronger and more intense, that just confirmed it. You'll get to a point where you won't be able to just sit through them and be slightly uncomfortable. You'll have to breath and try to activly relax and concentrate on getting through them. Then you'll know for sure it's the real deal!
my BH are getting really intense and am getting more and more anxious with 8days to go.
thax everyone i will live to tell
it will stop you in your tracks. that is a big clue. if you notice them close together, you think, hey, didn't i just lean up against that chair ten minutes ago?! then watch the clock and see when the next one hits. you should have discussed with your doctor as to when you should go in. i lived out of town so we were five minutes apart before going in.
they are like braxton hicks but when they start coming closer together and getting worse and worse then you'll know. since this is your first it will probably be at a strange time, usually at night. it will wake you up.
if you're lucky, like i was, your water will break and let you know.
best of luck!
Everyone experiences contractions differently. Some say it's like period pain and others say it's different. Especially if you have back labour. But you usually will know because it's different than any other pregnancy pain you get. You'll notice along with the pains that your belly will get extremely tight.
Mine didn't get closer than 10 minutes in between . Ever. Was in labor for 3 days btw, yeah it SUCKED
Anyways contractions feel like menstrual cramps but 943849389 times worse
You'll know when its time, honest! They are unmistakeable once they kick in. They will get closer together, longer and stronger as time goes on. Its easy for me to say, having done it three times, but you will know for sure when baby decides to come! Honest! :)
