I think its totally worth it. Even if he wont you can go and they can give you alot insight. And they really help you see things from a rational point of veiw.
My husband and I took marriage counseling before we wed to like prepare you for trials in marriage and such. We didn't have issues at the time we did it so I'm not sure if it would help in that aspect. But it does help you better understand your partner and open you up to each other. I have been married almost 5 years in june and we sometimes attend sessions at our church together but not so much for any marrital problems but we do enjoy the help and advice at times from our pastor. Its free at most churches.
Its worth it, but only if both persons are willing to communicate and be open to change.
