cracked nipples

I had my son Monday and in strictly breastfeeding. He latched on wrong an now my nipples are cracked I'm using lanolin but its still very painful some one please help!!

A lady from my church told me to buy vitamin E gel caps, break one open and put on nipple. She said it's very soothing and safe for baby as well. Haven't tried it as I am only 18 weeks along.

Soak your nipples in warm salt water. It heals them and soothes the discomfort. Also rub on breast milk.

Cabbage leafs actually dry up your milk supply (I've heard, never tried it). Try hand expressing some milk and rubbing it on your nipples, that usually helps. There's also a breastfeeding forum that might help you out a little better! The lanolin always worked for me or the milk healing it, so I'm not sure! :(

Same thing happened to me and they told me I had to suffer through it that it would get better lol someone told me cabbage leafs works but I never tried it lol
