My husband was in with me my second and my daughter and parents came and visited as soon as I was out of recovery and in my room.  My first was aneemergency and my mom was in there with me the whole time

Your husband can be in there if they give you the local anesthetic and it works. I had to be completely put under since I still had feeling and my husband wasn't allowed in there just in case of an emergency they could move quickly and not have to worry about my husband being in the way or panicking. I believe they allow siblings of the baby but some hospitals don't allow kids under a certain age. Call your hospital and ask.

My husband was in there with me and I had an emergency c section.  I dont have any previous children but you can ask the hospital.
