my hcg levels double about every 4 days....they were doubling faster in the very beginning but for the past week or two they double but only every 4 days instead of every 2-3

As another commenter said, technically they should rise AT LEAST 66% in 2-3 days. But for the most part they usually double or even triple within that time frame.

Slow rising HCG is pretty common.

Also, around 9-10 weeks or more your HCG should start to plateau and even decrease, which is normal.

They like them to double every 2-3 days...or at least go up 66%. Slow rising number can be a indiactor of a Ectopic. i had one in summer of 08, so when i got pregnant again this April and found out May..they monitered my HCG..since they doubled they told me the pregnancy was most likely NOT another Ectopic but once my HCG was 1800 or higher they did a ultrasound and was determined in my uterus. :)

Nope they don't! In the beginning, they want them to double but they don't always do so. At 6 weeks pregnant mine were 41,360 and 2 days later they were only 55,990. And I had a perfect and healthy baby boy this past February! I'd say as long as they are going up you shouldn't be concerned. Congrats!
