On Monday My wife had some discharge when at work. She is in the 7th week of Pregnency and she is 40 yrs of age. On visiting her gynac, she was prescribed " duphaston 10 mg" thrice 1 Tab. Is that normal? Worried again. Please advice soonest.

she must be slightly bleeding. the doctor would prescribe this to her if they believe the bleeding is due to low progesterone. if the cause of the bleeding is due to low progesterone, this could save the baby. i believe duphaston is a synthetic form of progesterone, if your wife is going to stay on it for some time she should probably ask for something like prometrium, which is a natural form of progesterone. good luck.
