hi i went to early pregnancy unit to today as im 5 weeks pregnant iv been getting lower pains right at bottom of my belly but no bleeding my HCGlevel was 700 is that bad as someone told if it drops i can lose baby what does it actually mean x

hCG levels can very a lot in each woman, "normal" hCG levels for 5 weeks are approx 18 - 7,340 mIU/ml... and in 85% of normal pregnancies this hormone doubles at least every 72 hours... because your going back at 48 then it should have increased about 60%.... the reason for testing your hCG is to rule out MC as the hormones not rising apporapriately in most cases lead to this.... BUT not in all cases, like i prev said 85% or normal pregnancies follow this, this leaves 15% of normal that dont... Its pretty standard to test the hCG levels when a pregnant woman complains of any cramping as there isnt a whole lot they can test for at this time and there isnt much they can do either... so take it easy, try not to think worse case senarios and try to relax.... crossing my fingers for good luck and good levels!!!

I just remember when I was pregnant before I had my mc my hormone level when I was rushed to the we it was almost up to 2000 . And I was only 3 weeks .. I have really bad cramping took but I was spotting ..

Just relax n don't stress that not good for u or it baby ..

Your hgc should be rising, if it drops it is not a good sign. Just relax and stay calm.

And if they thought something was wrong they would of told you sit back relax and drink some water you and baby will be fine

I'm also 5 weeks pregnant and I'm to sure how the hcg works but I get cramping a few times a day for a couple minutes each time and this is totally normal its just our women parts making room for baby its actually comforting for me knowing everything's working in there

yeah more like cramp than period pains but am so worried that it making me upset got to go bk in 48 hours for hcg level what if i drops ??
