emetrol or sea bands?

okay, i am 28 weeks pregnant & have really bad nausea & vomiting like to the point where i feel miserable all the time & can't do anything. i've tried zofran & it helped for a day or two, but after that it came right back. i called the ER last night about it & the nurse i spoke to advised me to either try emetrol or a sea band, so i'm wondering which one to try. anybody know which would work best?

looks like now i have gall stones. so, he says lay off dairy and spicy foods n hopefully the pain will go away. other than that, the baby is fine and everything else is good : )

At least you got some relief.  Hopefully your back pain is just another common symptom of pregnancy.  Good luck at ur dr visit.

i bought some emetrol yesterday, n i've taken about 5 doses within the last 10 hours or so. it seems to be working, i haven't puked yet and the nausea is pretty well gone (knock on wood). but, i'm having bad pain in my sides and my back, which i've had for a few weeks now. not sure what that is eitehr, but i have an appointment later today with my ob so maybe he can tell me something. thanks for your comments : )

Sea bands did not work for me but they are just pressure point bands u can do the other choices along with it...zofran worked for me along with mint gum

i'm going to wait until later today to decide what to try, i live in a very small town with no stores n have to drive 20 minutes just to get to a walmart. so, when i go into town later i'll decide. hopefully i get more comments on here which will help me decide better. i've heard b6 helping alot, but never heard of combining it with unisom. thanks.

You can also take plain unisom 1/2 a pill up to 4x a day.  Make sure its not the rapid release kind. I did a combo of that and b6 it helped alot.  Good luck.

thanks. he was going to prescribe that promethazine pill, but i have high blood pressure & kidney disease, so he said that was out of the question. he said other than zofran i have three choices: vitamin b6, emetrol, or the bands.
