extremly faint line on pregnancy test help!!

Hello, im hoping someone can relate or help me with what i need to know here, im 22 and ive just taken a pregnancy test yesterday its the predictor home test, i took it because im late for my period and ive been needing a wee alot more than usual but i dont know if thats just in my head because im late... im showing no other signs at the moment but anyway i taken the test and in the result window its showing an extremly faint line and i mean faint! its barely visable! does this count as a positive reading or not? has anybody else had this and found they were pregenant or had it and found they wasnt???
it says the window should be blank for negative and a line for positive but as i say its sooo faint so i still dont know??? im so scared because although im in a brilliant relationship and we have been together 6yrs i know my boyfriend does not want a baby yet... and although im not ready yet either i dont think i could get rid of it as we both want children eventually anyway! please help any input would be usefull thanks

Hi,
If there is even a faint line there, I would say there is a good chance you are pregnant. What time of day did you take this test? Try taking another test first thing in morning..the line maybe darker then.

Hi everyone!

I took yesterday predictor pregnancy test and it showed fair pink lane, barely visible though, then I decided to do another test in the morning today and the lane was even more visible, then I was still not satisfied and I bought another two different test clear blue digital test and early days test and two of them showed negative, so I'm really confused now, how come predictor showed fine line and the other two didn't show anything at all??? My period due soon, on the 9th of October.

Hi,
I know exactly how you feel. Im due on my period in 2 days and I was so anxious to find out, I used a predictor kit yesterday. There was a line, but very faint and it appeared within 10 mins and is still there. I took another today and the same thing happened, but the line was a bit darker but it wasnt a thick line, it was a line either side of how thick the result should of been and clear in the middle (if that makes sense) But it did say it would be completely blank if negative and coloured lines should only show up if the HCG is detected. Id love for mine to be true, but like yourself im not sure if I can believe the reading as it is faint. So many ppl have said a line is a line, but for some reason like all of us, unless its a strong line we doubt the result. As much as it pains me im just going to wait 2 more days to see if i start my period, if i dont I will re test. Maybe you should wait to test until your expected period date as well. There is nothing worse than not knowing though lol. With regards to you not being ready, I think you should put that to the back of your mind until you know for sure. No point worry yourself in the meantime. If you are pregnant, discuss it with your partner, tell him exactly how you feel and follow your heart. Being 1st time parents is terrifying as you dont know what to expect, but in my opinion it is undoubtably the most amazing thing in the world. I was 20 when I had my 1st and my partner was only 19. 2 years on we are stronger than ever and planning our second, so it really can work despite your age. Best of luck to you.

I am going through the same problem I took 3 Answer pregnancy tests and they all show the same amount for the answer. There is a very very very faint line and it took like ten minutes for it to show up. I just had Mirena birth control taken out the 17th of last month and I had a period right away. Me nad my fiance were not careful what so ever. I have not had a period since and my breast are tender and I don't feel like I am going to get a period anytime soon. I keep thinking I am and then I doubt myself. Should I believe I am or not?????

Ive used the predictor tests, before had no problem, since your already late, would have expected a darker line by now.but you may have ovulated later.that case if you are pregnant then this would be why so faint,I would wait few more days, test again, however i would use digital test, cant go wrong, takes out all the guessing, best of luck.

i just worry incase its a evapouration line i really cant tell although the faint line did appear between 5-10mins and the test said you could trust a result appearing withing 30mins so i wouldnt have thought it would be an evap line but who knows till i actually do another test...
Has anybody used the test called Predictor?? in a pink box? thanks

hi, i would try another test first thing in the morning, as hormone levels become concentrated and you can get a darker line if you are pregnant.  good luck!

I have had a faint line and it was a positive. The I got sick of the whole scenario with DH of can you see the line or is it not there blah blah blah so now I will only use and recommend the ones that simply spell it out. Preg test for dummies - who can read I guess. LOL

A line is a positive, even if it is faint.  If you retest, wait a day or two and it should be darker.  If there is no color to the line, though, it could be an evaporation line, which is not a positive.  Good luck!

When I got pregnant with my little boy I took 4 tests because they were always so faint so really hard to know for def whether or not you are pregnant. I was and was tols that if there was a line there doesn't matter whether it's faint or dark. But are you sure you're not just imagining the line. Im currently trying to get pregnant and was convincing mysefl that a negative test was showing a line. Its really hard but like other lady said a digital test would be better.

I think it means a positive. I would go and get a digital one for peace of mind and they literally spell it out for you. They are expensive but its worth it. Good Luck.
