failed my 1 hour glucose test :(

I have to go in Tuesday to do the 3 hour test :( I am wondering if eating before my test had anything to do with my results! My test was at 1pm and I ate a banana at 9am then had a ceasar salad and barley veggie soup at about 11am. Do you think this may have affected the results?

Yes I was told to fast, I just did my three hour test yesterday, never had a problem with my other four pregnancies...but my doc assumes it'll turn out fine. I'm sure you're okay.

No sure. I fast for my one hour and still fail. It happen since the one hour one is only a pre screening test. I took the three hours one a week after and pass. And yes I heard a lot of doctor had switched to the two hours test but it all depend on your doctor and state. Some even skip the one hour and only do the two hours one.
Best of luck on your test.

with my first pregnancy i ate before the 1 hour and thought that too...then passed the 2 hour. so with this one i made sure not to eat prior and i still failed the 1 hours :( but again passed the 2 hour... so if there is a next time im skipping the 1 hour one and going straight for the 2 hour :) and my instructions for fasting was nothing but water for 12 hours prior... and the lab tech specifically said a "small" amount of water is fine...

And i swear last time i did a THREE hour fasting test but this time was just a 2 hour? and i asked if it used to be a 3 hour and she started explaining the 2 hour to me so im not sure she understood what i was asking lol but anyway there wasnt an opiton for a 3 hour at all on the form...

Possibly, although you are allowed to eat before the one hour test. You will have to fast overnight from about 10pm for the 3hr one, only water is allowed.
