false pregnancy test?
I started taking metronidazole yesterday I took 2 pills that day... today I realized I haven't had my period this month. So I decide to take a pregnancytest before I start my second day on metronidazole. I took the test a 3pm and both test were positive. so I stopped the pills.I was wondering if the medication made my test positive or am I really pregnant.take another prego test? & when?
No that medicine is for bacterial infections it would not cause a false positive. They do give it to pregnant women though! I would call your dr and confirm with a blood test.
