fetal pole and high hcg, no heartbeat

I went for my vaginal ultrasound at what I thought was 8 weeks.  They first said the size was small and no heartbeat.  They pretty much diagnosed a miscarriage.  The next day they called and said my hcg levels were 76,000 and great and it appeared that I was 5-6 weeks pregnant.  I'm scheduled for another ultra sound next week.  I have had absolutley no bleeding or other symptons and in fact still feel pregnant with mild morning sickness, hunger, full bladder, ect.  I know this is probably a missed miscarriage but has anyone had the same expierence with about the same dates and  equipment and had a good outcome?

maybe your dates were just off and you ovulated later than you think! then at 5-6 weeks sometimes its hard to see!! good luck!

Are they going to retake your HCG before your next u/s? I wouldnt started to worry unless you know for sure. You could be only 5-6weeks. Good Luck.
