fingers crossed!!

Ok! So I couldn't help myself and did another test yesterday morning, I was convinced it was a positive and made an appointment to see the doctor, my usual doctor was on holidays so had to see someone else. He suggested they do their own urine test but typically I couldn't go to the toilet! They told me to drink plenty of water and wait til I can go. Well I finally went and they did the test, of course it was negative!! Then did the blood test and I get the results today I was so convinced yesterday morning that I was pregnant but now after all of that I am no convinced :(
The nurse who did my blood test did give me some hope by saying when she was pregnant her urine tests were always negative so she always had to confirm with blood tests. I want this so bad!! Still no period and I am always on time. Even though its been a few days I've never been this late. I hate this waiting, but somehow I think they are going to tell me what I don't want to hear!!!

I have heard of people being pregnant even with negative blood tests. My mother was one of them. So keep your head up hun. With those positive tests you prolly are. Do another one and let me know what it shows again.!

Well the doctor called. My blood was negative :( he told me if I don't get my period in the next 5 days or so do another test. My period is usually spot on so I'll wait and see. The day that I expected I felt like I was going to get it but didn't then that feeling passed. I am so over people saying maybe I miscalculated. I know when I am supposed to get it. Its been right any other time!!

Well all the water you drank could have diluted your urine too much and caused the hcg test to be negative.  I personally got a positive 4 days prior to my missed period with my tests.  I worked at a doctors office at that time and did one there and it was negative.  I did not show up positive until I was a little over a week late for my period.  Most doctors offices don't have pregnancy tests that detect at low levels.  Most only detect after you are a week late esp if they had you drink water.  Take another home test if you are unsure.  Use your first morning urine or wait until you have not voided for at least 3 hours.  Hopefully your blood work will show positive though.  Good luck.

I a test Tuesday night and it was a faint positive. Did another Wednesday night and Thursday morning, both faint positives as well. Doctor thinks they are just shadow lines, but he didn't even look at them to confirm that.
Everyone else I have shown have said they look like faint positives as well and they would only be faint because I wouldn't be very far along.
I thought it was silly that they made me drink lots of water too and you could tell after I went to the toilet my urine was mostly water cause it was almost clear! I couldn't understand why they would make me do that, surely they would know it would dilute the hcg levels!!
I still haven't had the phone call. But if I haven't heard from them by lunch time I will ring after lunch. I will let you know :)

You never said what made you think it was a positive?
If it was showing a couple lines or a plus sign then you are most likely pregnant. The fact that they make you drink alot of water then pee is silly since that is watering down the hcg levels in your urine, especially since you would not be very far along. I think you will probably get your BFP but let me  know! Now im curious lol.
