first ultrasound

I had my first ultrasound yesterday, according to my LMP I was supposed to me 6w4d along but I was only measuring 4w5d.. Is this a bad sign, should I be worried? Also I saw the heartbeat but I couldn't hear it, I thought the heart doesn't even start beating till 6 weeks...I'm confused!

And it's okay to be about 2 weeks off. That's why there is a range. :)

They base off lmp because they don't know the exact date but the lmp is close. When they do an ultrasound...they are better able to predict date but measurements ...that's why.

The actually baby dont start.to develope till two weeks after ur LMP ur perfectly fine

This happened to me also.. I should be 11 weeks according to my lmp but actually only 8 weeks..the doctor said it's just because I didn't ovulate when I should have..so there's nothing to worry about(: hope this helps.

She said everything looks fine and is having me come back in 2 weeks, she also gave me a new due date. 2/16/13, 2 weeks later than my previous one.

According to my last period, I would have been 10.5weeks but my u/s said I was 9.5 weeks. I'm sure everything is fine.
