Caffeine in small doses isn't bad for you, just have to say. If you get your heart rate up with it it's a problem. But the standard acceptable amount is 1 cup per day. Sugar you should avoid more for health than anything, but I know I've personally had cravings for only sweets and me and baby are doing fine-the key is moderation, and not having a lot of it. Do avoid pop though, for the reasons that the salt and sugar will actually dehydrate you, which is worse for baby than any of the aforementioned (in my post). Water is your new best friend.

They say only meats that are cooked well done. And not all fish is bad. Some fish can actually be really good for the baby. I ate salmon and halibut all the time with my first pregnancy.

No raw meats or fish. Anything that is a risk of food poisening as it can cause misscairage especially during the first trimester.
