free fluid in the poch of douglas. HELP!

Hi, I am 6weeks+6 days pregnant, yestarday I had my second early scan, there was a heart beat, crl: 7.5mm, everything looks fine HOWEVER, I was told that there is "some free fluid in the pouch of douglas" , I have to add that on the first scan I was told that my left ovary is located in the pouch of douglas. I also have some discharge which sometimes is very smelly. I was told to go to my GP and check for vaginal infection as this can cause the fluid to appear. Is this true? Is it dangerous for a baby or myself? What does it mean that my legt ovary is in the pouch of douglas? I am so worried... HELP!

I found this on google, hope it helps some, & good luck! :)

The Pouch of Douglas is the deepest point in the peritoneal cavity; it is a collection point of fluids during the monthly ovulation and when there is an infection in the peritoneal cavity. This fluid usually dissipates naturally, but if the amount becomes of a concern, it has to be drained using a syringe and a needle by a doctor.
