Gas and air is the first offered pain relief in Ireland.
You have to be so many cm dilated before epidural is offered.
Gas and air is good but can make some people vomit.

Yes it is mostly use in UK where i had my first even back home they offer it, their is no harm of using it u'll feel like drunk and laughing like crazy lol..
It help some women to manage the pain, didn't work for me any way..
EVERY ONE please please research all your options!! Epidurals are not the only option!

It's mainly used in the UK :) all my friends have babies already and 3 of them Used gas and got through it using just gas I think I might be wanting something abit stronger lol I'm not great with pain lol
I've been watching a TV show called "one born every minute" on YouTube and they offer gas and air. First time I've seen this offered. A lot of women use it instead of the epidural. Very interesting. (:

The gas was good at the beginning but after they opened my water it was useless so i took morphen"spl" but after 2 hours of it it wasn't helping so i screamed for epidural and it was life safer ..

I was doing research on different types of pain meds for labor and i guess 80% of women who do "natural births" use air and gas
