I took mine Monday and its not that bad. This is my second pregnancy and both times I did fine. I had the orange drink and all you do is drink it and then an hour later they take some blood. It can make you sick but it doesnt happen all that often.

You take it around 28wks. They give you a sugar-filled juice that you have to drink in either 5 or 10min (cant remember which). Then in an hr they draw your blood to see if youre handling digesting sugar fine or if theres a chance for gestational diabetes. If you fail they do a 3hr test where they draw blood once an hr. If you fail that,  odds are you have gestational diabetes.  GD can put you at risk for a bigger baby and harder delivery so just lets the medical staff know to keep an eye out for those things :)

I'm freaked out that it's gonna make me puke. This baby hates sweet things. When do they usually do the glucose test?

I dont think so. It tastes just like a juice honestly I dont see why people claim its nasty and im a picky person. I think people expect it to be a high dollar drink or something lol. It isnt bad its all about perception.
