Im a ftm and I ate normal before mine I just made sure to eat earlier than usual because my appointment was at 1:30. They told me if I don't hear anything then that's a good sign and it's been a little over a week and I haven't heard anything so I guess I pasted. They will take your weight, blood pressure, urine sample and then they will also test your suger before (it may be different woth your doctor but this how mine went) the nurse also asked what i had ate, then they gave me what tasted like a really sweet Kool aid fruit punch drink and i had five minutes to dri k it all and I had to wait for 1 hour before my blood was drawn. You cant drink or eat anything while you wait. While I waited me and my husband talked to the nurse and we got to hear our little girls heart beat then it was out to the waiting room to finish waiting  and once the hour is up you get your blood drawn and then your free to go! I don't know how your doctor does it but this is just one way they do it :) good luck! And God bless you!:)

If your ob says to fast then you cannot eat or drink anything. You can have water though. When you get to the clinic the will give you a sugar drink & have you water 1-3 hours to see how your body processes sugar.

I ate breakfast before mines, eggs and toast and I still passed. Most obgyn dont require you to fast because there testing for a reason some tell you to eat like you normally would so they will know how much sugar your actually consuming rather than fasting will just automatically pass you with flying colors

Where I'm from I have to fast but if you don't I strongly recommend not having anything high in sugar so you don't risk getting a false result

I wouldn't recommend eating or drinking anything high in sugar content beforehand. Some places require you to fast, some don't. Where I'm from, we don't have to fast. Your doctor might do things differently though.
