You can't eat from midnight the night before your test. You have a blood test, drink 2 big cups of lucozade. Sit in waiting room for 2 hours. Have another blood test and go home. It's horrible I wanted to throw the whole lucozade up. If you eat breakfast it will mess us your results. This is in the UK though not sure where this page is based.

They told me not to eat for at least 3 hours before I drank the stuff. Eat how you normally would eat, just don't have a candy bar that morning

They make you drink a sugary drink then you sit for an hour. It may make you nauseous. You will pee in a cup and have blood taken after the one hour. Stay away from anything sugary before you get the test done as it can affect results. Some people do better on an empty stomach and some don't. If you pass no further testing gets done. If you fail, you will have to go back for the 3 hour test.
