Any smoke results in oxygen deprivation to the baby which is obviously bad. I found it pretty easy to stop smoking weed when I found out I was pregnant. I just decided not to risk it. There haven't been enough studies to say if marijuana intake is negative or positive for the fetus, but there have been studies on smoke inhalation and it is proven that it is bad. :)

Knufrio that isn't completely true. Medical marijuana can have just as much THC as some you may find on the streets. It depends on what you buy from the shop. It may be deemed safer because it is supposed to be monitored while it is being grown but that doesn't mean there is less THC. But on that same note, I know people who grow weed and if I smoked, I would rather get some from someone who I know then some person I never met before, even if he or she owned their own shop that was monitored by the government.

And my step daughter's mother smoked while pregnant and she does not have asthama, ADHD, or any other complications.

There is a huge difference between medicinal marijuana and weed you just buy from someone... They have a completely different chemical make up. The THC is what's thought to be dangerous during pregnancy, medicinal marijuana has very little THC.

There hasn't been enough testing to say whether or not weed is bad.

In my opinion, your doctor will tell you to take a tylenol to cure your pains while you pregnant. Yes, tylenol is tested and approved with no pregnancy risk. But do you really believe all of what your government tells you?  I mean do you really think their not getting their kick backs from the pharmacuetical companys to approve certain drugs for mass consumption?? As a pregnant woman you are just a number that represents a statistic in their eyes.

Alcohol and cigarette's death toll is wwwaaayyy higher than weed but its still legal while weed is illegal (in most states.) With each generation, what is acceptable will change, just like age and gender roles. I don't condone smoking while pregnant because the smoke cuts off oxygen to your child(ren) whether it is weed or tobacco. But if I were going to try to catch a buzz or help morning sickness (which some women use weed for), I would make some special brownies.

Also, some pregnant women actually are perscribed weed. So it can't be all that bad huh?

If you smoke weed while your pregnant and when they do a blood test they check for drugs and if weed shows up. They will check when your baby is born if its in the blood stream if it is they have the authority to take your baby from you.
