gym?? hot tub??

So I went to the gym yesterday. But I only walked abt 20mins. Is it ok if i walked that long? After that we went to the pool. Section nd there was a hot tub so I got in there nd by the time dat happened I saw on the rules dat pregnant women can't get in I got out. I was wondering if I only stayed in the hot tub for abt 1 min could it harm my baby?? I am only 5weeks.. I went to the regular pool which i think is ok rite??

the reason you can't go in the hot tub is like the other poster stated if your body temperature is too high for a long period of time it could hurt the baby.. so hot baths, things like that are off limits. . if u got in for a minute n then got out you're fine. :o) good thing you read the rules!!! lol

I walked through out my whole pregnancy- up until the end.  I would walk for an hour sometimes.  My rule was just as long as I could talk/ have a conversation while walking I could walk as long as I felt good.  Just make sure you drink lots of water :)

Exercise is great in pregnancy! I've read to keep your heart rate below about 140 as a general guideline but it's probably best to speak with your doctor who knows your pre-pregnancy health. I've met women who bicycled 50+ miles at 34 weeks! Swimming is also great exercise for pregnancy but I have been told that hot tubs are a no-no since you don't want to get over-heated. I doubt 1 minute could cause any problems.

You're most likely okay. When you're pregnant you can't let your body temperture get too high.
