hcg confusion

i need some real advice before i loose my mind. i am about 7 wks pregnant. i had my first blood test about 3 wks ago and my hcg count was 9000. two days later they tested me again thinking i might have a blighted ovum and my hcg was 15000. i went in to have a transvaginal us where they discovered a yolk sack and fetal pole , something that was not evident in my first visit( i had been in a car accident and having had a positive pregnancy test they were making sure i was ok, thus such the early tests.).in my third visit, 2 wks. later,  they had trouble seeing anything but thought they might have seen a yolk sack and early fetus but expected more growth. had my blood taken AGAIN and my level was only 27000. is this normal for 7 weeks along? i have had no cramping or bleeding and i have many early pregnancy symptoms. i am concerned because my hcg is not doubling every 46 hours as i have read it should be. help! what should i expect?

Melimel is also right. I was going to say that but said "It could be that you're earlier than you thought." A heartbeat should be detectable at this point (via ultrasound, not doppler).

I know you said you want some real advice but honestly there is no way to know what is going on. Some women have slow-rising HCG and go on to have healthy babies. At 7 weeks those levels are considerably high but HCG levels vary from pregnancy to pregnancy and can be very low or very high. The point is that they should be doubling every 48-72 hours.

It could be that you're earlier than you thought.

the doubling slows down after 6000 but by 7 weeks you should have a  h/b
