If I were you, I would first of all have an u/s, they will be able to tell you what kind of pregnancy it is. The bloodwork won't do any good, really.  the u/s at this point has to show a heartbeat and then everything is fine. If not, then it might be bad news :(

They could be lower if you conceived later than you though but in order for it to be considered a normal pregnancy they would still need to double within 48-72 hours.

Its normal for hcg levels to double at least 80% every 48-72 hours. Levels don't slow down in doubling or level out until about 8+ weeks.

It can happen like that. I had a little bit of spotting my first pregnancy at about 6 weeks and got an ultrasound and saw a heartbeat and then the spotting just went away. Went for an ultrasound about 3 weeks later to find out that the baby had died a couple days after I spotted and that my body was unable to get rid of it. Its called a missed miscarriage and I'm so sorry you are going through this. Hopefully you will get more information on Wednesday.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news but no it doesn't look good. Based on that first level of 26 by two weeks your levels at the very least should be somewhere in the 3000's. I would contact your doctor and request an ultrasound and another blood test within 48-72 hours of your last one to see if they are rising or dropping but it doesn't sound very good.

your doc was suppose to take your hcg level every other day to see how it is rising. If it is now 348 but 2 weeks later, there is no way to tell whether your hcg level is properly rising. I can say that you are pregnant but whether it has been rising or dropping - I don't know. You should have another hcg level taken and see if the number is bigger. How many weeks are you? If over 6 weeks, you can have an ultrasound done to see how the baby is developing!
