That's based on individual opinions. My son is 5 weeks and I was bringing him out starting the day after k left the hospital. It wasn't cold out so and it wasn't like it was a gross place. He had his first doctors appointment then to the hospital again for some tests. And another day I brought him to the police station with me where they could check that his car seat was properly installed. Then I had to bring him with me to a wic appointment. So he was out and he's fine.
Granted it was only necessary things I brought him out for, but that was only because I was still in pain and too uncomfortable leaving my house for some time
It's safe for the baby to go out it's the mother that can't.,,, baby will be fine...and you will to cause I was out walking shopping and everything
It's really up to you and what your comfortable with and whether or not you have that option to stay confined to your house.
My son was 5 days old when I first took him out. Had to go to the grocery store and quite frankly with my husband working from 3am to 8pm I had no choice to take him with. He goes everywhere with me. Plus we have a 5 year old who is in school and other after school activities. He is almost a month old and is out multiple times a week with me.
I prego w baby 3. I never take my lil ones into public when they are lil. Newborns have no immunity to the outside world. The good thing is this time of yr it's not a high flu/RSV season. However they can still get sick. If they get sick there is nothing U can give them. Babies can get RSV which is a virus-but really just a common cold is extremely bad for babies. That's why they say to wash Ur hands before even touching the baby. My niece ending up sick when she was 3wks old-she was in the hospital for 4wks, she almost didn't make it. So to me it's not worth the risk. I do go out for walks or in our backyard w my newborns. Talk to Ur pediatrician they most likely will say the same thing.
I'm 37 weeks pregnant.... haha sorry god knows what's up with my phone right now!
Sorry that was I first took her out when she was 6 days old. Phone autocorrelation.
It's fine to take baby out, I took my daughter out first time when she was 6 weeks old, I never stayed inside. And inside 37 weeks preganant now and won't be staying in this time either, my daughter is 5 and needs to go to school and has alot of things to do, it's not possible for me not to take baby out. In the UK you don't even need to wait for immunisations before you take baby swimming.
It's fine I actually asked my mother same thing last night and she said to stay in for a week but that it's fine after! She's one of 11 and I am 1 of 4 and we were all fine :)
Hey,
In Africa and other countries where they can't pay for shots and stuff. Babies are out from birth. Tribes in the amazon give birth in nature and I guess the babies are fine. If you don't feel comfortable with taking your baby out. Wait until the shots. But you have to take him out to get the shots right? So it should be fine. Exposing them to the air etc will increase their immune system. Also breastfeeding will give them a stronger immune system.
I'm a ftm haven't had my baby yet but I thought the same thing you should probably call your doctor and ask to be safe
