help plz

Me and my husband wanted to get pregnant but were unable. A month later which was april I was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes and was told not to get pregnant because my sugar was really high. On april 24 we had sex and my husband came inside me but I didn't think anything of it and now its may 5 and my period is 5 days late. I'm kinda wishing I am pregnant but I don't want to be because of my diabetes. I took a pregnancy test yesterday and it came out neg. Should I wait a week to take another one? And also has anyone been pregnant when they got diagnose with type 2 diabetes

Well since it runs in the family I had it at 300 but now I got it down to 230 that was a week ago when I check my sugar the docs told me to wait for a year before I TTC but I had unprotected sex with my husband. I've been eating right walking as much as I can to control my diabetes

Hi,
I also have type 2 diabetes and I am trying to conceive.  I was never told that I should not get pregnant by my doctors.  I was told that I needed to keep my blood sugar reulated at a good number like I have been doing, continue to eat right and exercise so if I do become pregnant I can be on as little medication as possible. What does your blood sugar levels usually run?

I doubt that you are pregnant if you had sex on April 24th and then were supposed to have your period on May 1st but there is always a chance that you could have ovulate later than normal. I would definitely say take another test in a few days and see how it comes out. I don't have diabetes but there is always something the doctors can do to help you out when you are pregnant to control it. Good luck!
