I had a u/s at 5w2d and didn't see a heartbeat 1 week later and it was there!!  I think it is too early.

I had an ultrasound at 5w6d and only saw a sac and at 6w1d we saw the heartbeat. Even a couple days can make a HUGE difference that early in pregnancy.

At 5 weeks you most likely would only see a sac and yolk.dont worry im sure on your next scan you will see alot more.

Your baby's heart is not completely formed, about 3/4 of the way, but nonetheless it begins to beat within the fifth week.  However, it is more common for an ultrasound to pick up heartbeats in the sixth week.

yes...some people only see a sac

Yes we had one at 5 weeks with just a sac, and one at 6weeks 5 days with a heartbeat :)
