With my son, I was 36 weeks when I had the bloody show. It was a lot of mucus with red and pink blood. I called my midwife immediately and she said it sounds like things were starting. I went for lots of walks and at exactly 38 weeks I went into labor. It's no inidication as to when you will go into labor, you could go all the way to your due date still. It just depends! But if it was just blood or mucus with blood, I would call your doc either way as a precaution.

if it was just blood you should contact your dr as a precaution. if it had mucus in, sounds like the start of your plug coming away. and it really does vary from pregnancy to pregnancy how long after that labour starts.

Was there any mucus when you wiped? You wont get just blood when loosing your plug. I lost mine for about 2 months and the last chunk of it came out a week before delivery. It varies for every women.

I started losing my plug on a Monday and had the baby on that Sat.  That's just me though......all pregnancies are so different it's hard to say....Most people say it can be up to 2 weeks after you start losing your plug.....Best wishes.
