how long does labor start after losing the mucus plug?
I lost my plug yesterday and i have not delivered yet. Im soo anxious already helpppp! I dont know if this is normal or m having a slow labor progress. Is this harmful to me and my baby? Been having this contractions at 8min interval lasting for about 40 to 50 sec.. it went 5min in between but went back to 8min interval huhu! Im so worried

Depending on how far along you are it could still be some time even after you lose your plug, you may want to let your dr know if they dont already because once its lost the risk of infection increases so they may want to check you again

not really a danger you just need to avoid taking baths it just leaves you more open to infection but like the other lady said it can regenerate. No point in wasting time at the hospital because they will send you home if you are not having any contractions or if your water hasnt broken. Usually they would go by the ultrasound date because it provides more accurate dating since lmp is based on a 28 day cycle which not every woman has. I know patience is hard when you get close to your due date but sometimes thats what we have to find. I was 5cm dialated at 38wks and still had to wait until i went into labor on my own at 40wks exactly so anything is possible

I would just make sure not leaking any fluids and make sure baby is still moving good my son was born healthy and delivery went great so I wouldn't worry too much.. Just try to relax an not think about baby coming that's when it will happen lol :)

Ohh okay.. im so worried already that she might be in danger or something.. my contractions are quite regular but not so intense. I cud still walk.. some say ul know its true labor when u cant move ur feet already. Hayyy! Any suggestions to speed up labor i mean increase the contractions? I was 2cm dilated 2 days ago..

I would not go off of the intensity alone since everyone is diff. them being regular and not going away after you lay down or take a shower could signal active labor without them being really painful. I acutally passed my start of labor off as a false alarm because they did not hurt until i started timing them and they kept coming, I always thought contractions started off at 30 mins or more apart but that was not the case mine came at every 5 mins for starters. The real pain of the contraction did not start until they broke my water then it was a whole diff ball game lol

I lost mine twice was dilated to 2cm and 50% effaced and was still induced at 40+1. You may not go into labor!
