how to start labor

Im wanting to start labor.  i have two other children but they were induced.      My baby is good size and i want to try some things to get labor going this monday coming up.  I could use some suggestions that have WORKED for you other ladies

I know u are probably miserable and want the baby out.. but a friend of mine thought she was ready and used castor oil and immediately went into labor (she also had bad diahrea) but it does work... However her baby was not ready and had to stay longer than expected in the hospital. When I was 39 wks I was huge and miserable and begged my Dr to induce me and he said only if I would do an amnio. Bc u just don't know if lungs are developed enough or not, and they say 40 wks for a reason. I had the amnio and it came back that her lungs were not 100% so they sent me home. At 40 wks they finally induced me. I would talk to your Dr first before I tries to start labor myself just to be on the safe side!!! Good luck!

I would go against the castro oil idea..... Just like it make u have major bowel movements it can do the same for baby then baby breathes in his bowels.and can be harmful. With my first i was 38 weeks and very ready so i walked....alot..went to one mall walked the entire mall went home to rest and went to another mall and walked that entire mall by 5am that next morning i was in active labor and in the hospital

Mowing the lawn lol. I know it sounds crazy but u use a lot of muscles and it worked for me and a friend. I was over due and scheduled to be induced also. Thank god i mowed the lawn and started it myseld

They can't see on an ultrasound if the lungs are developed...did you get an amnio? As for castor oil, its dangerous for the baby so don't risk it

Fresh pineapple...don't know if anything really works tough...I had it a 2 days before my babe arrived but she was probably just ready to arrive :-)

I had an ultrasound today.   They checked all of her organs and said she is perfect.  That by. Next week she will b more than ready

I dont have much feeling in my nipples from breast feeding my other children.    And sex is not an option.  Im single lol.

I wouldn't try to induce yet since you aren't even full term.the baby might be a good size but the lungs might not be fully developed.id I were you I'd wait it out at least another week and a half.
