At least you have a choice of having to tell her. I went to the ER with my mom not knowing that I was pregnant. The doctor violated my HIPA laws by telling her I was, but I'm kind of glad it went like that, because I wouldn't know how to say it. But just tell her that you are pregnant & whether you want to keep it or not, hopefully she will help you plan on what to do next.

I don't live with my parents but I took my mom out for lunch for her bday last week and I was going to wait to tell her until my first ultrasound but she looked at me and knew right away.

I have an amazing relationship with my mom and when I told her she got upset. She even asked that I leave her alone for the day to let her process  it. It was definitely hard but I will tell you that it didn't take long at all for her to get over it and be super excited that there was going to be someone else in her life to love as much as she loves me. So no matter how you choose to tell her just try to remember that no matter what her reaction it's going to turn out ok. And the negative feelings (if there are any) will go away! Good luck!!

I told my mom, I live with her and I have a good relationship with her. She was silent for a minute but then happy about it. There's no reason for anyone to be upset because it has already happened and it's a bleesing. She will be happy she is a grandmother.

I told my mom a funny story. It was a long dragged on story about how crappy I'd been feeling and thought I was getting sick, towards the end was about I bought a pregnancy test to rule that out because I was sure it wasn't that. the end was, it was positive! (Sorry for the crappy short version).
But it ended up being extremely funny BC we were at a restaurant and just after I said it was positive the waiter asked to take our order. She didn't even have time to react.

But anyways, it definitely made it more fun to tell her.

Sit her down and tell her you love her and just boom say it! It was super easy for me because of mine and my mothers relationships but I can imagine it being difficult for some good luck and hey! Its ok to cry I did :)

Depending on your mother's personality and your relationship wth her, telling her can be fun! If you guys get along great, start it as a joke and then tell her you're  actually serious. If you don't really get along, just come right out and say it and get it over with.
Just remember your mom loves you. If she gets angry with you, it's not because she's angry AT you, she's angry at the situation  you are in, and upset that your life is going to have the hardships  of motherhood  before she thinks you're  ready.
