ibuprofen during first trimester?

So I have been suffering from major headaches for about 4 days, and I'm allergic to acetametophen. Is it safe to take ibuprofen or will it hurt the baby? I'm about 6 weeks 4 days along

Oops I missed the sentence in your post saying you're allergic to acetaminophen, my apologies! In that case, get a foot rub! Your bug toes are connected to your head, push and rub on the squishiest part of it.

There is an ingredient in ibuprofen that is a blood thinner, which is very dangerous for pregnant women considering we already have extra blood in our system. Ibuprofen (advil) is NOT safe to take during pregnancy. Your best be is to listen to those girls who already posted, and drink 2 tall glasses of water real quick. Dehydration is the number one cause of migraine/headache. If after half an hour you still have a headache, take some regular strength tylenol and have a nap. Feel better soon!

Advil isn't safe in pregnancy. Talk to your doctor since your allergic to Tylenol. I got horrible headaches in the first trimester and just had to tough it out. Sorry :(

Yes, sometimes it is that you just need to drink more water. I can start feeling all types of ways, but I guzzle down some water and it goes away.

My doctor told me to try drinking two big glasses of water as quickly as possibly for major headaches and stay very hydrated... No ibuprofen or advil or anything of that sort

Talk to your doctor. I know you're not supposed to take that while pregnant. Maybe the doctor can give you something else.
