implantation?

I'm twenty four and my fiance and I have unprotected sex regularly. My last period ended a little less than 2 weeks ago. Yesterday I woke up very nauseous, and I noticed some brownish blood after urinating when I wiped. I continued to feel nauseous all day and began to feel cramping and pain. Despite the light bleeding I took a home pregnancy test and it was negative. Today, during sex we noticed some more dark brown blood. My stomach feels funny and a little cramped at times. I've also been urinating more frequently than normal. Any ideas on what this could be? Implantation maybe?

If it happened roughly two weeks after your period then I'm doubtful it's implantation spotting. I had this when I was pregnant and it started the week I was expecting my period to show up. It wouldn't be unheard of for it to be implantation bleeding, but not many women experience it, or so I was told. It sounds like you may have an infection or you could have been ovulating. Some women get nauseated, have frequent urination, and spotting and such around ovulation.

Thank you for replying! It could be a UTI, except it doesn't hurt or burn when I pee, and when I do go it's a normal amount... not like when you have a UTI you feel like you have to go really bad but nothing comes out... I'm just really confused... I want to contact my doctor but I'm currently in between jobs and waiting on my new health insurance to activate in two weeks!

It sounds like you might have a urinary tract infection. They have over the counter tests you can use to see if that's it.  It COULD be implantation but I've never heard of the nauseau and frequent urination associated with that. Those typically kick in a couple weeks later after the hormone levels have risen a good bit.
