increased contractions after internal exam

Is it common to have increased contractions after an internal exam? I am not spotting or anything, just having worse contractions and lower back pain. I was 2 cm's this am at the docs office, but I am only 34 weeks so I need to be watching out for preterm labor symptoms. I think I am just be a hypochondriac, but they are definitely more painful. I think I probably need to start timing them, the only problem is I feel the contractions as lower back pain and not sure how you time those.

I just downloaded a contraction timer, I'm going to time them for a little while and see what it says. If they are getting closer, stronger, and longer I'll definitely call the OB. Otherwise, I'll know they are just falsies.

that does sound normal/common, time them the best you can and if your not sure call your doctor and ask them what they would like you to do.

I think it is normal, nikko. It's probably Braxton Hicks so make sure you look up the difference between the two!
