I was induced with my first baby in 2010 @38w6d. I found it to be so painful by 3cm i had an epidural. Pros, no pain. Cons, headaches, couldnt walk or lean over to pick my baby up.
So today i was admitted at 7am to be induced (39w1d). I was having real contractions on my own (by chance) i was 2.5 cm dilated when they started my on pitocin at 8:30am. I breathed through every contraction and didnt think it was that bad. I got stuck a 5cm for 2 hours when the contractions became so intense and painful it was no longer 'easy' to relax and breathe slowly through them (5pm) i was checked and suddenly i was 8cm, i felt pressure but wasnt dialted enough to push so it just hurt really really bad. At 6:12pm i was shaking and moaning in agony through every contraction when they put in the epidural... I felt honestly like i was going to take a huge poo and when they laid me back down (drugs didnt work yet) i was 10cm and the baby was descending. He was out at 6:19 pm. I felt everything. They removed the epidural. (pointless but now i have to pay for it lol ) i loved going natural because i could walk around, watch his first bath etc.
Vaelen Elvis was born at 6:19 pm weighing 7lbs 19.5 inches long.
