If you quit taking your birth control it could just be your body getting used to not being on the pill. It can take a while for your period to become regular again. I was on the pill for just over two months and it took six months for my period to be regular again. Your blood VOLUME (the amount you have in your body) will increase 30-50% but your blood pressure will NOT go up 50% when you're pregnant. I'm 32 weeks 4 days pregnant, and my blood pressure is exactly where it always is. Checking your blood pressure will not let you know if you are pregnant. Wait until you think your next period is due, or about 4-6 weeks after you stopped taking the pill to see if you start your period, or wait 19 days (because sperm can survive a few days and implantation of the egg can take 6-12 days most pregnancy tests will say in the instructions to wait at least 19 days) from the last time you had unprotected sex to test, using your first morning's urine.
Hi there i am new to this , i had unprotected sex 2 weeks ago with my bf we are trying for a baby. i decided to take a preg test 3 days ago the result was negative i was unsure when i was due to start a period. on saturday i started to have bad cramps and thought this must be it a period. there was no flow of blood like i usually have just this brown discharge and tiny bit blood i no my self this is weird could i be pregnant.
Have you taken a HPT yet? If not always use your first morning pee for best results but if you just got off the pill then your period maybe irregular for a month or two. Which wouldexplain the light period you had. Keep track of any symptoms and if you can check your blood pressure, when your preg your blood pressure will be 50% higher than normal. But don't just rely on your BP
