As far as the cervical mucus went, I never really paid too much attention. We tried for 6 months and at month 6 I bought Ovulation Predictors (same as a Home preg. test...you just hold it in your urine stream)....That 6th month, after using the predictors, I got pregnant...Just a thoght that may help things along....Tales all of the guessing out of when you are ovulating, and they aren't all that expensive...I got mine at Walmart. Best of luck!
Thats what I thought.. Thanks!!
CM stand for cervical mucus :-)
Green mucous is a sign of infection. Yellow is normal.
It doesn't matter if the CM goes away. Sperm lives in the vagina up to 3 days and the egg lives for 24-48 hours. If you believe this is the time you are ovulating, then have sex.
The CM you checked this morning may not be yours. It could be from having sex the night before.
Keep checking CM every time you use the restroom. Once it is clear (like raw egg whites) and stretches to an inch or more, get busy!!! Sometimes CM comes and goes. You could be dry one day and have lots of CM the next.
Your body sounds like it is getting ready to ovulate. Have sex every other day so your honey's sperm has time to... regenerate. :0)
thank you everyone. DH and I bd'd last night and this morning I got some pretty stretchy CM (about 0.5 - 0.75")--- could I be ovulating today? Hope so, maybe we can get one more BD tonight before it all goes away.
OK, so that means you're on CD15 today, right? And if you normally have a 30-or-so day cycle, you should be getting close to ovulation. It all depends on your luteal phase length. Normally, the luteal phase (second part of your cycle) is between 10 and 16 days, so that means you could be ovulating now, or it could take another five days or so (assuming you have a normal luteal phase length...which you probably do). Just keep checking your CM and as soon as it starts to become more slippery and stretchy, get busy :-) If you want to try and pinpoint it more, you could try OPKs. That would give you a 12-48 hour notice before ovulation.
Oh, and pale yellowish CM is not typically a sign of infection. I wouldn't worry about that unless your CM has a bad smell as well.
Good luck to you!
I checked an online ovulation calculator that said you should be ovulating between 4-6. Maybe you should check more in the next couple of days. Good luck! :-D
if the CM is a pale yellowish colour, is that a sign of infection?
they are usually about 30 days plus or minus 1 or 2 days.
Hard to say. The sticky white CM is normal both before and after your fertile phase. How long are your cycles normally?
