lower back pain

i have had lower back pains for a few years and my doctor told my it's probably my joints. Unfortunately I didn't find this out until I was already pregnant, and since I got pregnant I stopped taking my pain pills for my back. Is there anything I can do to ease the back pain, today it had me in tears, and I'm only 17 weeks pregnant, I don't know how I will handle it later on during the pregnancy.

i also had back pain before i got pregnant..it started at the age of 14. i am 24 weeks pregnant and i can barely handle it. my doc put me on 5 mg lortab for back pain. i try not to take it during the day but i do take it at night to help me get through the night thats when it seems to hurt the worse. i also have joint pain and it has helped with that also, i was terrified to take the lortab and i felt guilty but it got to the point that i couldnt handle the pain anymore. i would just cry and be stressed out!

It's unfortunate that you have to experience this pain, however, the only safe medication you can take is Tylenol.  The best thing is just to rest and not move around to irritate it anymore.
