L side optimal, yes. But there's nothing wrong w other positions. I never wake up in the same position i went to bed in and all my kids have lived through pregnancy and been born healthy. Seriously dont stress!

When u r pregnant u find yourslf wrestling on the bed to find the most comfortable position required to gt a peaceful sleep. The best posirion is SOS that is sleep on side. Even best is left side as bld flo and nutrients goes to the placenta as required. Avoid sleepng on bak nd sleping on stomach. Sleep on left side with legs folded keeping pillow in between legs. Hav a happy pregnancy!!

Lying on the left side can also decrease hearburn and indigestion whereas the right side can increase it or even bring it on. Im not sure why but for me it does make a big difference!

You can lay on your right side. Left side is optimal because their is an artery located there that provides a good blood flow supply to your baby. That is why if you lay on your back for too long, you may start to get dizzy or faint because that is the artery that blood flow gets cut off causing those issues. Laying on your right side is fine.
