I spose it depends where your from. If your from the UK they wont do one unless medically needed till at least 40+ weeks.. i had a sweep at 40+5 and it didnt do anything. I was induced due to fetal movement at 40+6 though. I hope you start to feel better! :)

Just don't know what else to do. It's hard to be patient when I can't even move ! Anything to progress her a little faster ..

I had a membrane sweep yesterday and the Dr told me it probably wouldn't do anything BC I was only 1cm dilated and she could only get one finger in. But I had my bloody show earlier so I guess it helped some :)

A membrane sweep is when your midwife or doctor uses their finger to sweep around the cervix to get rid of the membranes that are attached to your baby

I was only half a cm dilated when I got my first sweep so I think you should be fine to get one, don't be disheartened if it doesn't put you into labour though. I had one that never worked and then another 4 days later and the next day I had my little girl but I was 4 days overdue x

Why rush? I say wait.  If u don't pop by 39 weeks ask ur doctor about cervidil less painful, it's a little tampon like thing that goes into you and it builds contrsctions up/ and helps u dialate. It worked for me three days in labor. Membrane sweep hurts I heard, and doesn't work.

You're considered term by 39 weeks. Used to be 37. So I don't see why they wouldn't plus I have not been able to walk in 3 weeks. So they best do it or I will go nutts. I've gotten so depressed lately because of being house bound.

Yes they will,  I'm getting mine done Monday.  I will be 37 weeks and 4 days. I haven't even been checked to see if I'm dilated yet. I begged and begged for it.

I'm not sure of they'll do it that early but they have to be able to feel your cervix so it has to be low. I had one today and I'm 39+5 :)
All just depends where the cervix is and of they can reach it :)
