Congrats! I just saw that you are pregnant!! Fingers crossed everything runs smoothly this time. xx
congratulations on your pregnancy, i hope it all goes well for you. i am also in the same boat as you, my due date is 16/09/2010 hopefully. im also taking daily baby aspirin and heparin...its horrible. my poor husband has to give me the jabs because i just cant stick a needle in myself. ur brave. ive had 3 miscarriages...praying that this time the treatment helps. take care n be kind to yourself.
i have factor v leiden and have had multiple mc's because of it...my doctor is hoping the heparin helps me...but im still scared....i have a friend who only took baby aspirin after multiple mc's and had her baby just fine...if you dont feel like your doc is giving you what you want always seek a second opinion....
congrats and best of luck to you
hi-i'm new to this community but i just read your last entry about seeing a specialist and having to take heparin and i was wondering what type of disorder you had? This is my first pregnancy-tried for 7 years and finally gave up and then one day to my surprise +++++ anyway i tested + for antiphospholipid syndrome and am very concerned. My OB doesn't seem to be. He said I don't need to see a specialist just take a baby aspirin everyday and thats it. I don't know if you have the same thing or not but any information you may have would be great. Thanks
Congratz! I am glad you got into the high risk doctor and have a team of doctors watching out for you! Fingers crossed this is it for you dear!! I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers and Please update often!
thank you ladies....im getting used to sticking myself by not injecting the fluid (it burns)....its all worth it though
I'm so glad things went smoothly...and I'm thrilled that everything is working out for you...keep me posted sweetie, and I HATE those shots too. I had to get a shot of warfarin in my stomach when they thought I had a blood clot at one point...not fun!!!
I did IVF and had shots daily that I gave myself - and you do get use to them.. I think it depends on the med and the needle gauge. The IVF meds were thin and needles were small.. it did get sore and you have to remember to switch ( right/left ) I have to start progestrone shots in 2 weeks and that is a thick liquid and larger gauge.. NOT FUN.. but again I hope to get use to it.. Best of LUCK!!! I am sure it will just be part of your routine soon...
Sounds like it went well. :-D And the extra ultrasounds will be nice. :-D
I'm so glad things are looking up. I hate needles too,but you'd thinkas many times as *I* have been pregnant I'd be used to them but nooo. LOL I think I'd have to have DH do it if I had to give myself shots. I'm sure he'd enjoy puttingme through that HAHA!
thanks michele....im very hopeful this time....just gotta get to 2/19 now to find out when my first u/s is
Yay!!!! I am so glad you got in to see the high risk doctor. I didn't realize you got in already though. I just know everything will go wonderful this time, and just think, you will get to see your little one all the time on the big screen!! How exciting!! And that never gets old :)
Keep us posted!
Take Care,
