methotrexate and pregnancy
i am on methotrexate and have been for a year for severe eczema. my periods are usually pretty regualar around the 16th. this month i was late by 12 days and when it did come it was very light and brown ( rather than red.) it only lasted for a day - day 1/2. ive recently been on flucloxicillin and penecillin very high doses and i know this can affect mtx strengths. i have been tired and achy and nauseas for weeks now. ive done two hpts and both have been negative. should i see my gp?
thanks

Methotrexate is NOT good for pregnancy.  It's used to help you have an abortion if you have an ectopic pregnancy.  You really need to take a test to find out if you are pregnant and if you are stop taking the meds and call your Dr!

cminamyer is correct...it is also used for miscarriages that are taking too long the natural way...the methotrexate is used to basically induce labor.  It is NOT conducive to pregnancy!!!!  IF you think you are pregnant stop use immediately and get into a doctor ASAP.
