misoprostol
Has anyone had to take misoprostol for a missed miscarriage? Once you pass the major clots, how long does it take to finish the heavy bleeding and cramping? It wasn't as bad as I expected- kind of like a period, but I just want to know that the worst is over!
Hi. My doctor gave me Misoprostol and it went easier then i expected. I only had to take one and within minutes i was bleeding the first day was heavy, after that is was light and i only bleed for 4days.

My doctor gave me misoprostol when he told me that my baby stopped growing at 7 weeks (I was supposed to be 9.5 weeks.) I took it, and a few hours later, passed many large clots. I bled very heavily for the next few days. I kept on bleeding - it got lighter as the days passed, but after month, I was still bleeding. I had my HCG checked and it was lingering at 400. I took another ultrasound and my doc told me that there was just a little tissue still holding on. He gave me the option to wait it out or have the D&C. I opted for the D&C since a month was just way TOO long for me to go through this. I am so happy I got the D&C. I bled for maybe 3 days and it stopped. Just this past Sunday (3 weeks after D&C) I think (and my doctor thinks) I got my period. It just ended the other day (6 days total). I'm going to start TTC again with my husband this cycle. Wish me luck.
