more of a vent.
So I don't really have a question just need to vent a little. My husband is in the navy and has been gone 2 years. I flew out to Bahrain last year to be with him for Christmas and when I got home found out I was pregnant. We were so excited and overjoyed. Two weeks later at 6 weeks I miscarried. I was devastated and didn't get out of bed for about a month. When he was home in may for my sisters wedding we ttc but nothing. I haven't seen him sense that but he gets leave for four days for thanksgiving which happens to be right when I ovulate. *happy dance* we want to ttc but I am so nervous it won't happen again or it will end badly again. We aren't going to actively try but more of just have sex and hope for the best. I just don't get how teens can get pregnant so easily but I can't catch a break. All the doctors say that we shouldn't be concerned unless try for a year and nothing happens but a year f
or us in military time is 3 years and I cannot wait that long. He is deploying in February and we want to freeze his sperm in has anything should harm him while he is gone. He gets leave around Christmas too which is again when I ovulate but how great would it be to give him the positive test as a present before he deploys. I'm so nervous.

The tests tell you when you are ovulating. I tested day 12 thru 22 just to give me a big window. If you get a positive have intercourse for the next 3-4 days.
Big green eyes, ya its common. Seemed like everyone I knew knew I was pregnant before I did last time. I'm so antsy and excited to see him its been 6 months so its not like we have to try. He is only home for 4 days so I'm excited. I have high high hopes
My husband and I got pregnant when he was home on leave for Christmas a few years ago. I actually found out on his birthday that we were pregnant. (His b day is a few weeks after Christmas)

*gets giddy* its so exciting when they get to come home, :) your gonna be so happy. ya! i was suppose to get my period yesterday. haven't gotten it so far. im hoping it never comes lol if not by friday i'll be testing. :) idk what it is, all day today at work, my coworkers and even my trainer were looking at me weird. said i dont look well, and i look flushed in the face. im like idk why. i felt fine this morning, but half way through the day i started dragging and all i wanted to do was sit down. would it be common to feel like that? (persay i were pregnant)
Praying for u big green eyes, af came yesterday for me so Idk if ill ovulate while he is home but I still have a good feeling and am hopeful we will finally get our bfp shortly after he leaves. Af is usually short so hoping to end tomorrow. Taking prenatals like my doc suggested so hope all goes well. Only 14 days till he comes home!
If i get my period this week, im probably going to invest in one of those by the end of this month and some folic acid and probably a fertility tester. just to be sure. i was due for my period today, but i didnt get it. ill see in the next few days. *prays*
I haven't tried them. Don't they only tell you after you have ovulated already though?
@Navy: have you used any ovulation predictor kits? If not, my doc recommends Clear Blue Easy digital. They are more pricey but most accurate. Cheapest at Walmart. It will tell u if u get a true LH surge. I have PCOS, I ovulate enough to get a period but not always enough LH hormone to get pregnant.

well i should be getting mine in the next two days. and i dont normally cramp when i ovulate. most the time i dont even feel it. sometimes a little twinge every now and then. But tonight ive been cramping back and forth from left to right. but the last week ive been getting a pinching from time to time. it was very faint. but kept happening. idk. well see if i get my period or not. that means im just gonna have to try extra hard on thanksgiving! LOL man thatd be awesome if we did at the same time. wed be going through the same things at the same times haha
I can feel it coming but am hoping it'll hold off till the tenth that way ill ovulate when he is home. Where in Oklahoma? I lived there for like 6 years in tulsa. My sister still live in Norman. I would have to laugh if we both got preggers this try. I usually cramp on one side when I ovulate.
well i dont wanna spend money on tests unless im late. cuz if that were the case id be buying them all the time. LOL
girl i know its hard not to think about it. but i found out once he was home. i was just too happy he was there. granted it was still in the back of my mind when we'd have sex though. i just didnt focus on that. id focus on what he and i had planned the next day. and go with it. granted if he came in me. id be sure to lay on my back for a while before id get up. but most the time it was right before we'd go to sleep. so id just sleep it off. oh boy. i just started cramping on the right side. which is weird because normally i start cramping in the middle when i start my period. gonna be sad if it hits by morning... =/ we'll see. oh really? your suppose to get ur period in the next few days? ya you know what. i think i was looking at thanksgiving as another try for us too. thatd be hilarious if we both get pregnant during thanksgiving LOL (cuz he's in ft hood and im in oklahoma. so ill see him thanksgiving)
@ big green eyes, I have high hopes for you, our periods are supposed to start at the same time. Lol I can tell when I ovulate cause I cramp plus I've been charting bbt and cervical position and mucous. When he was home I knew deep down that it wasn't gonna happen but now I just can't wait to see him sense its been 6 months. I have a optimistic view this time and know all the timing is perfect. I don't feel that feeling that it won't happen but people say when u are trying it won't but when u stop trying it'll happen. It's so hard to not try though. How can I keep my mind on just enjoying that he is home and not so much on baby making or that he deploys soon after?
@big green eyes why don't you take a test. I bought about 10 test that I would just take 5 days before my period. I took it and got a BFP I didn't have to wait and see if I was going to miss it cause that suspense was killing me. Plus I had symptoms.
girl i know how you feel! my fiance was home in april on leave for two weeks but i only got to spend a week with him because i had to work. and i live in a different state. we had high hopes that id conceive then, but it didnt happen. :( hes been back from iraq since august now. and we figured after april, that if we try we are just going to keep getting disappointed. so we agreed with eachother that we'll just have unprotected sex, and if it happens it happens, if it doesnt it doesnt. right now ive got my hopes up honestly. cuz my period is due within the next two days. but i was tracking ovulation and we had sex at the right time. but im afraid i'll be disappointed again... i can sympthasize with you completely. it ***** being military. makes it harder for you to hit it on the right time with them coming and going. i'll be keeping you in my prayers and have faith that you get to conceive this month. :) <3
I just gave myself a broad range I said I wanted to be preggo by Jan 2012. I stopped using birth control in Sept. Since I wasn't on any birth control I stayed to myself because my period tends to change to the same day of any woman I was hanging around too much. It's hard to know when you're ovulating when your period is all over the place. I'd just have sex like normally sperm can last up to 5 days so they say.
