So far throughout my pregnancy ive had heavy discharge and from what I had read is that the plug looks like that, hpw will I know the difference when it does happen?
and if there is no way to tell, is it something that isn't important to know?
(Im 19weeks, just wondering how ill know for sure later on)

My midwife discribed it as a a bloody mucus discharge. (Pink in colour, or red tinged mucus) even if you get it, it does nt mean your going to go in labour, it could be weeks before you actually go into labour after loosing your mucus plug.

You can lose your mucous plug and it can grow back, its like alot of snot or really chunky and gross can have a bit of blood in it. My doc doesnt care when you lose it he says it doesnt definitely mean anything. I lost mine at 8 months and again a few weeks before I gave birth.
