my HCG levels is 474.3 after 14 days of embryo transfer (IVF) .Am I Pregnant?

Hi i undergone IVF cycle.. the two fertilised embryo were transferred on 21st April 2010 and doc suggested hcg level test on 4th May 2010 and the blood test done on 4th May 2010 shows the hcg level as 474.30. Am i pregnant? if yes, can it be a single or twin pregnancy?

Don't worry I will :) I did for her and it seemed to work Ha :) I will for you too. I hope everything is okay. And you'll do very well I am sure :)  there can still be a chance that it is twins they its prob hiding behind the other if you are it can happen :) x

Well, My brothers step mum (step brother) had IVF cause my brothers dad had the snip then got it reversed but wasntt 'delivering' ha and shes now having twins :) So it can go either way Tbh. CONGRATULATIONS :)  Hope all goes well :) x

I had an appointment with the doc today and he did the ultrasound. says i m six week preg with a singleton. he noticed the heartbeats too.. woha..! i m so happy... thank u all once again.. keep praying for me..

Sounds like you're definitely pregnant. I am 17 weeks pregnant with twins and my HCG was really high. It was almost tripling between test. I was freaked out because I was started getting sick pretty early with it rising so high so quickly. Its hard to really say because some say don't read too much into the number but when they are high like that from the people I have talked to that are pregnant with twins or triplets that a high number is a pretty good indicator. Congratulations you are definitely pregnant. I agree with 1angelbabym, you cannot tell if it is single or multiple by just one beta. The only way they can officially tell you is with an ultrasound.

It looks like you are; however, they usually like to do the sam blood work about 48 hours later to make sure the HCG doubles.  By doing this they can usually tell if it is a viable pregnancy.  THant being said, a 474.3 is a wonderful number!!  Mine at that same time1 4w1d, was 384!!  You really can't tell if it is going to be multiples or not just by the HCG but if it goes from 474.30 to like 2000 or higher in 48 hours I would say there is a chance of being more than one baby in there!!  My numbers were more than doubling and jumped from 868 to 17,920 in 1 week (should have been around 7,000 if doubled every 48 hours not 17,920) and I only have 1 baby.  the only true way to tell is by U/S.  Congrats to you and good luck with everything!!
