need info:best week to do c-section for 2nd child

I read that 39th week is the best week to do c-section. My first child was born via emergency c-section at 38 week and 6 day. Due to my thyroid problem, I should do the c-section for my 2nd child, my doctor advised me that I should do the c-section around week 38 but no later than 39 due to 2nd child usually comes early than the first one. Is that true?, do you think I should wait till 39 th week or just follow what the doctor said? anyone with experience about planned caesarian please share. thank you

My first was emergency section - second was scheduled in the 39th week - this is my third and I am scheduling for the 39th week as well... They really did not give me any option other than they date in the 39th week - Good Luck

I would do it the 39th week but the 38th is fine to the lungs are fully devolped I had a c-section at 37 weeks and my son was 7lbs 7oz but i was induced bc of pre clampsia
