neg. pg test & late period driving me crazy!

I am 25/ female.

I have been trying to concieve since november, when I went off the Nuva Ring. (I have a history or normal periods and was pregnant once before, but did not carry it) Since then I have had 2 36-day cycles, and one 40-day cycle.  Right now my period is two weeks late. By 9 days late I had taken several HPT and one blood test, all of which came out negative; however, have been having some symptoms of pregnance, including lightheadedness, larger nipples, nosebleeds, cramps and some light nausea.  I have been tracking my fertility with saliva and an ovulation microscope, and I experienced ferning exactly when I would have expected it for my 36 day cycle (we had sex every other day then).  I assume I ovulated since my saliva indicates so.  My question is, is it possible that I did ovulate and my period could still be this late and I could not be pregnant?  OR is it more likely, or even possible, that I ferned and actually did not ovulate, which is why my preg. tests are negative?  Thanks for anyone's input!

Sorry but I've never heard of the saliva test.

You will ovulate 12-16 days BEFORE your period is expected. This phase is called the luteal phase. I highly recommend you read "Taking Charge of Your Fertility" as that has helped a lot of women understand their bodies and how to TTC.

Your body sounds like it is still regulating after coming off BC.
