ya folic acid is also known as vitamin B9, vitamin Bc or folacin... so yes vitamin Bs
I didnt notice the bright color until my Dr prescribed extra folic acid in addition to the prenatals I was already taking.
Boy! Hopefully its correct BC that's what DB wants. I just want a healthy baby!
I was just doing some online gender predictor quizzes and the last question on the one was urine color "If the color of your urine is dull, then you are having a girl. If the urine is bright color, then a boy is on its way"
it reminded me of your question :)
Any time I take a multi vitamin my urine is bright yellow. I take Advocare and drink a spark energy drink every morning and it turns my urine bright yellow due to the vitamins in it.
It's your prenatal vitamins!!! ;-) nothin to worry abt bc the yellow color is actually the unabsorbed vitamins flushing out of your system..( I used to be a GNC manager for 10 yrs)
Vitamin B is water soluble so what your body doesnt use, you pee it out so that shouldnt give a headache but it is something to mention to your Dr...also check out what levels of all the vitamins are making sure they are with in the daily reccomendations of prenatals just because not all vitamins are water soluble.(meaning you can get too much).. if you headache continues it would be interesting to see if it goes away if you switched back to the old prenatal but definitly mention the headache and urine color for sure!
Thanks ladies it didn't start until I switch prenatal vitamins hopefully they aren't 2 strong
certain vitamins like vitamin B can do this... i cant remember which one but i used to take a vitamin B and it was like neon yellow...because your body is excreting what it doesnt use... i cant say ive noticed this with my prenatals but maybe my body is using mor than yours.... if im even correct by saying this? lol someone else hopefully can confirm or explain it better :)
I sure hope so. This is my first pregnancy and I've had bright yellow tinted urine sometimes as well. Im 20wks and haven't had any complications (knock on wood!) so far so I just figured its normal.
