Not really a question just ranting. I have a doctors appoint this morning at 10 and I'm 38 weeks today and I'm scared I still won't be dialated any.  I had a dream that I wasn't and she told me I wouldn't and would have to have a c section. I really don't want a c section. Never had surgery before and I'm not gonna lie im a little scared.

don't be nervous, you will be fine. I was a ftm too and i had to be induced since i only had 1cm and was a week late. main thing think positive and you will be fine. my daughter was born natural and it was an amazing delivery. Good Luck.. :)

Have you been checked before? Is this your first baby? Don't be surprised if you're not, I didn't dilate at all til in active labor, and this is the case with many FTM's, that's why some doctors don't check because they don't want to discourage you if you're not dilated or encourage you if you are because you can be dilated for weeks before anything happens, you can be dilated and still have to be induced. I had 2 c-sections and they were both really great experiences, and recovery is not as bad as it sounds, I've never had any surgeries except them, and surgery scares the crap out of me, haha. I hope you have a quick easy delivery, and good luck your little one is almost here!! :)
